Jill is a featured contributor in the first anthology put forth by the founders of RealitySandwich.com, Towards 2012: Perspectives on the Next Age (Tarcher/Penguin, 2009). Her article, “Cleaning Up Soap: Why the Bronner Family is Washing Out a Few Mouths” explores the corrupt natural body care industry where the term “organic” often misrepresents and misleads consumers into purchasing toxic chemicals positioned as safe for humans and the environment, and why the Bronner family–manufacturers of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps–targeted dozens of well-known “organic” companies through aggressive lawsuits and consumer campaigns in order to enforce truth in labeling and integrity in the booming personal care industry.
Jill is also a featured contributor in the anthology What Do you Believe? (Outside the Box, 2009). Her essay “Holding Empty” takes readers on a journey through the eyes of a young bicycle messenger experiencing and interpreting the unfolding world around her as she tries to understand what, if anything, is truly worth believing in.
